Success Stories

Andy was twelve years old when he was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter.  Because he was a senior who was in need of veterinary care, the shelter staff called to see if we could help.  Andy was taken into our care and placed in a loving foster home.  We were able to track down some old medical information through Andy's tattoo, but his owner contact information was long outdated.

Andy was quite underweight when he came into our care, his ears were filthy and his teeth were so badly abscessed that a wound had opened up below his eye and there was blood coming out of his nose.  Despite the obvious neglect that Andy had endured, he was a sweet and gentle boy whom his foster mom described as "peaches and cream" with the "disposition of an angel".

Andy's blood work results were normal, so we were able to proceed with his dental surgery immediately.  After his mouth had healed and he had started to gain some weight, Andy's energy level improved dramatically and he began to feel like a brand new dog!  Suddenly he was interested in chasing balls and playing with toys!  We knew that he was ready to find his forever home.  Andy was adopted by a wonderful lady in Sidney who is retired and has plenty of time to spend with him---she takes him everywhere she goes.  Andy has a wonderful new life ahead of him!
