Chloe
was one of four Pomeranians who came into our care after being
surrendered to a local shelter. The dogs had been used
exclusively for breeding purposes their entire lives, only to be
discarded as seniors when they could no longer "produce".
Prior to coming into our care, Chloe
hadn't had very much experience living in a home environment. She
was immediately placed in a loving foster home so that she could
spend some time learning all about the good things in life while
receiving veterinary care and training. She needed
socialization and confidence building, as well as some help with her
housetraining. Despite enduring a lifetime of neglect, Chloe
was eager to forgive and quick to trust. Once she learned that
humans were capable of being kind and gentle, she became the most
cuddly and affectionate little dog that you could possibly imagine,
with a devotion so strong that she
would have followed her foster mom to the ends of the earth.
Having
received little or no
medical treatment over the years, Chloe was in desperate need of
dental care. After being spayed, tattooed, micro-chipped,
updated on her vaccinations and having some much needed dental care
completed, she was ready for adoption.
Chloe found an amazing forever home
with a wonderful lady in Victoria. Her new mom works from
home, so she has plenty of time to spend showering Chloe with all of
the love and attention she deserves. Chloe also has two Yorkie
brothers to keep her company. She has a fabulous future ahead
of her!
