Success Stories

Daisy was eight years old when she came into our care.  She was a puppy mill dog who had been used exclusively for breeding purposes for her entire life.  She had never received proper veterinary care or socialization and she was fearful of new people and new situations.

After spending some time in a loving foster home, Daisy's confidence began to grow.  She learned about soft beds and warm laps, car rides and new adventures, but most of all, she learned what it was like to be a treasured member of the family.  After being spayed, tattooed, micro-chipped, vaccinated and having some much needed dental care completed, Daisy was ready to find her forever home.

Daisy was adopted by a wonderful lady in Port Alberni.  Her new mom is retired and she has plenty of time to spend with Daisy.  She is enjoying teaching Daisy all about the good things in life and she looks forward to the day when the anxiety leaves Daisy's face completely.
