Félix
was a senior who was found wandering the streets and was taken to a
local animal control facility; he was never claimed. As an
older dog with limited vision and hearing, as well as a mouthful of
abscessed teeth, his chances of adoption were slim. So
Félix
was taken into our care and placed in a loving foster home,
where he was provided with the medical care he needed, along with
plenty of TLC. After caring for
Félix for almost two months, his
foster parents had fallen in love with him and decided to adopt him
as a permanent member of their family.
Félix is now living happily on the
Sunshine Coast and he shares his new home with two canine siblings.

***An update from Félix’s family:
“Félix loves his food! I make him wait at the edge of the kitchen
with Millie and Kobe when I am preparing their meals and he tries
his best to respect that. He really enjoys his walks, even if he is
not as fast as the other ones---we all slow down the pace. Also, he
is very good in the car and he likes to go for rides on the
weekends. I continue to brush him almost every day and he is much
better at letting me do it. His fur coat is longer now and just
gorgeous, even the groomer thinks so. He is more affectionate and
is looking more for human contact. He is also kind of a clown---he
makes my husband and I laugh sometimes. Once in a while he thinks
he is a puppy again and runs and jumps, he also likes to fix his bed
and he goes at it so strongly that he ends up in the middle of the
room with his blanket or his bed. He also snores and dreams a lot.
We just love him to pieces and would not have it any other way. We
are sure glad we kept him and gave him more time at a good life.
We’ve had him with us for 9 months now. Take care and keep up
the good work---it is all worth it.”
