Gemma
was picked up as a stray and taken to a local shelter. She was
filthy and horribly matted and we believe she had most likely been
used for breeding purposes. She was taken into our care and
placed in a loving foster home so that we could get to know her
better while providing her with the medical care she required.
Gemma was a total sweetheart and once she had been spayed, tattooed,
micro-chipped, updated on her vaccinations and provided with the
dental care she needed, she was ready for adoption.
Gemma was adopted by a
fabulous couple in Burnaby. Her mom is recently retired and
she is enjoying spending her days with Gemma.
Special
thanks to Samantha of Markeydas Pet Grooming in Langley for donating
her grooming services and helping Gemma look and feel so much
better!
***An
update from Gemma’s
family:
"We could
not be happier with our little girl. We cannot think of anything,
other than the jumping up on arriving home, that we would change.
We continue to work on that one. We just feel so lucky to have met
you and found Gemma. I am including a couple of photos and will
send a new one of her hair cut."
"Still loving our wonderful
little Gemma. She is happy and healthy. It will be two
years in March! Thanks again for all you did for us."
