Kona
was surrendered to Furever After Small Dog Rescue by her owner, as
she was leaving the country and wasn't prepared to take Kona with
her. Kona had already spent time in an animal shelter in the
past, and we didn't want to let that happen to her again. She
was also suffering from mild separation anxiety, and we felt that
she would rapidly deteriorate in a shelter environment. So
Kona was taken into our care and placed in a loving foster home.
While in foster care, she was spayed, provided with
necessary dental care, updated on her vaccinations, tattooed and
micro-chipped.
Kona was adopted by a
fabulous young couple in Vancouver who absolutely love her to pieces!
She has finally found her forever home and she will never have to
worry about ending up in an animal shelter again.
***An update from Kona’s
family:
"As promised, here are a few recent photos
of Kona: at the park and with her friend Apollo (the golden
retriever).
I will send more photos as soon I
have some good ones. She is doing really well and seems to
have settled-in 100%. She sleeps with us every night and has been
going bike riding with us recently. She made it all the way to
Granville Island and back along the seawall the other day, and
still had energy to want to play!
Talk to you soon."
