Libby came
into our care by way of a local animal control facility after being
picked up as a stray. She was a young adult, but she was still
very much a puppy in spirit. Libby was a happy girl who was
full of energy and loved to play. She was eager to please and,
as with most hounds, she was very food motivated---she just needed
to find a family who would be willing to work with her. Once
Libby had been spayed, tattooed, micro-chipped and updated on her
vaccinations, she was ready to find her forever home. She was
adopted by a fabulous young couple in Victoria who are committed to
continuing on with her training. Libby has a canine brother
named "Johnny" who also has lots of energy and loves to play.

***An
update from Libby’s
family:
"...just
a little message to update you on Libby. She is adjusting well
to our household and her behaviour and "manners" have been slowly
improving. We have been able to leave her in the house with
the other dog (alone) when we go to work, etc...without too much
damage. We are also starting obedience classes with her next
Tuesday through the Greater Victoria Dog Obedience Training Club,
though she is now able to sit, usually stay, and walk fairly
reasonably on a leash. She also goes to Doggie Daycare twice a
week now, and that has really helped with her dog social skills.
We've gone for a couple of walks to Thetis Lake, and she's been very
good when meeting other people and dogs along the way. Now,
just to keep her away from the cat litter...
I've
attached a few pictures of her and our other dog, Johnny, as well."

"Today
was a big day for Libby! She graduated from her obedience
training class, and we celebrated with giant milk bones.
"Sitting" is her best skill so far. Hope you enjoy the
pictures."
