Lizzie
was picked up as a stray on the
busy streets of Los Angeles by good Samaritans who noticed that she was limping and took her to a vet. We believe that she had probably been hit by a car. She was extremely fearful and difficult to handle and during the examination, she bit the vet. As a result, once she entered the shelter system, she was not made available for adoption to the general public; rescue groups were her only hope. So she was rescued and placed in a foster home where she gradually learned to trust people again. Over time, it became apparent that Lizzie was quite a character and she somehow managed to worm her little way into her foster mom’s heart; it seems that she had already found her forever home! She is now living on Vancouver Island, where she enjoys playing with her canine siblings and going for long walks on the beach. She likes beach combing and is also quite a good swimmer!
