Success Stories

Lola was rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Los Angeles on her “last day”. She spent quite a while in foster care in Southern California, but there were no adoption prospects. So she was flown to Vancouver, where she is now living the good life. Her mom takes her everywhere and they spend lots of time hanging out on the beach together.

Ironically, Lola didn’t become famous until she left Los Angeles! She is pictured here at the Holt Renfrew/Modern Dog Magazine “Father’s Day with Dogs and Dads” celebration, along with her mom and Brendan Morrison (of the Vancouver Canucks) with his dog, Bella. The fundraiser featured celebrity dads and their dogs, along with adoptable dogs from the SPCA. This picture of Lola can be found on the Vancouver Canucks’ official website.
