Success Stories

Lucy was twelve years old when she was surrendered to a local vet clinic after her guardian had to go into a seniors' care facility.  Lucy was running out of options and she was scheduled to be euthanized when we heard about her story and offered to take her into our care.  After having some dental work completed, Lucy was placed in a loving foster home so that we could get to know her better.

Lucy is a senior who is coping with several age-related health challenges including arthritis and vision/hearing loss, but she is enjoying life and she has a lot of love to give.  Due to Lucy's shy, timid personality and her ongoing health concerns, she would not cope well with being re-homed again at this stage in her life.  She has settled nicely into her foster home and her foster mom loves her dearly, so she will remain permanently in our foster care program.

Special thanks to Madeleine for sponsoring Lucy in honor of Tailor and assisting with her medical costs.

After spending just over a year with her loving foster mom, Lucy's mind and body gradually began to fail her and she made her journey to the Rainbow Bridge.
