We aren’t sure
how Missy ended up in a busy shelter in Los
Angeles, but her fear of strangers made her a poor candidate for
adoption. She would growl and snap at people she didn’t know and
her time was running out. So she was rescued and it was quickly
discovered that once Missy had a chance to get to know people, she
was a total sweetheart! She is now living in a fabulous home in
Qualicum Beach, which she shares with her canine brother, a special
needs Boxer.
***An update from Missy’s family:
“Our Missy is a happy, cute, loving, cuddly, loyal little girl. She
is like a curly ball of wool, always doing her best to please.
Missy has brought a great deal of happiness to our home. She has
become a good companion to our older dog, Chato. They like to
cuddle together in the mornings. Chato is disabled, and when he
gets down, Missy helps to cheer him up with her gentle, playful
way. Sometimes, when she is lying on my lap, I wonder how someone
could have ever taken this loving little being to the shelter and
walked away from her. Missy looks at us with trusting, loving eyes,
and fills our hearts with joy. Some people think that a dog is
lucky to have a good home. Instead, we like to think that people
are lucky to share their lives with a dog.”
After
spending four happy years in her forever home, Missy made her
journey to the
Rainbow Bridge
