Mitzie was one of
four Pomeranians who came into our care after being surrendered to a
local shelter. The dogs had been used exclusively for breeding
purposes their entire lives, only to be discarded as seniors
when they could no longer "produce".
Mitzie was placed in a loving foster home
so that we could get to know her better, while working on her
housetraining and providing her with the medical care she needed.
After being spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, tattooed and having
some much needed dental care completed, Mitzie was ready for
adoption.

She found a wonderful forever home with a
lovely couple on the Sunshine Coast. Mitzie's new mom works
mostly from home, so she has plenty of time to spend with her.
And Mitzie has a canine sibling named "Pippin" to pal around with.
She has a bright new future ahead of her with lots of fun times to
look forward to!
***An
update from Mitzie's family:
"Hi
Everybody,
Just a small line to thank
you for the Christmas card and to let you know how Mitzie is
getting along. She has made herself right at home and gets on
very well with Pippin. They go everywhere with us. Very unsure at
first, not sure of her surroundings, but a bit of loving soon
altered that. We really get a lot of enjoyment from her. She now
plays games and loves being out in the garden, which she had never
seen before. Please keep in touch. I will send you more
pictures in the summer.
Bye for now."
