Success Stories

Pete ended up in an overcrowded shelter in Los Angeles after being picked up as a stray.  He was in terrible shape; his coat was horribly dirty and matted and he was missing his left eye.  Nobody was interested in adopting him from the shelter and he was in danger of euthanasia, so he was rescued and given a second chance.  He was bathed and cleaned up and his eye was examined by a Vet.  Underneath all the dirt and filth was a beautiful, sensitive creature who just wanted someone to love.  Pete finally found his forever home with a very special couple in Ladner.

***An update from Pete’s family:

“Pete is doing well and is a real joy to our home.  He gets along great with our other dog, Sasha, and has become very attached to me.  He must be in the same room at all times…he likes to sleep at the end of the bed at night.  If he hears the word “treat”, I swear he smiles as he awaits the treat.  He is quite the cuddler and we probably spoil him rotten.  My eldest son is the only one we allow to baby-sit him.  He bounces as he runs and has become a real live happy little rascal.  We have all gained many blessings when Pete came into our lives and home.  I do believe he is a very very happy little boy…oops, dog!"

After spending two and a half happy years with his forever family, Pete made his journey to the Rainbow Bridge
