Success Stories

Pnut had a terrible case of Demodex (mange) when she was rescued from a busy shelter in Los Angeles.  She was missing most of her hair and her skin was raw and inflamed.  Over the course of several months, Pnut was nursed back to health while in the care of her dedicated foster mom, a volunteer for Life 4 Paws in LA.

Pnut was then flown to Vancouver in a collaborative effort between Furever After Small Dog Rescue and Terrier Rescue.  She has now found a fabulous forever family in Errington and she has two canine siblings to run and play with.

***An update from Pnut's family:

"Nut's doing AWESOME !  She had a vet check a couple months ago and is mite free. He thinks she is in AWESOME shape considering her history.  Coat and skin are incredible.

She now gives as good as she gets with the other two dogs...she's a Seriously Spunky little turkey.

The biggest thing is she's BRAVE now !  She used to SCREAM like all holy hell if you even came within feet of her with YOUR feet....was terrified of partially closed doors too.  Now you can give her belly rubs with your feet and she'll sneak through the tiniest openings......

She is no longer AFRAID.

It's awesome.

Thanks ever so much for checking in on her, you'll have to come visit again sometime !"

Special thanks to the Calendar Girls for sponsoring Pnut and assisting with her transportation costs.
