Success Stories

Tofu was surrendered by his owners to a busy shelter in Los Angeles due to his unmanageable behavior. He had never been properly socialized and had never been given any limits. He was rescued on his “last day” and flown to Vancouver for further assessment and rehabilitation. While in foster care, it was determined that Tofu was not adoptable due to his unpredictable aggression towards other dogs and people. So Tofu has found a forever home with his foster family, where he is making slow but steady progress on his behavioral issues.

***An update from Tofu’s family:

“Tofu is a lunatic, but we love him dearly. He is like a mad hatter. He is always in constant motion and is very LOUD! But he is making progress and is now able to play with our other dogs without fighting (usually). His aggressive behavior towards people stems from anxiety and has become easier to predict as we have worked with him and gotten to know him better, so we are now able to manage situations more effectively and intervene before his behavior starts to escalate. This progress has made life much more enjoyable for both Tofu and us!”
