Twiggy
was found under a car near a Los Angeles city shelter.
A volunteer from our partner rescue group, Life 4 Paws, got
her to come out and she was covered in grease.
She was taken to the shelter, but was never claimed, so she
was rescued and flown to British Columbia to find her forever home.
Twiggy
was adopted by a family in
Powell
River
with two boys, aged five and
fifteen.
She also has a canine sibling (a Yorkie mix) to play with.
Her new family loves her dearly and Twiggy has especially
bonded with the younger boy.
Twiggy
was a little nervous around the teen-aged boy initially, but he has
worked hard to gain Twiggy’s trust and she has now begun to warm
up to him. Although she
is still a little shy with him, she will snuggle into him now. Twiggy was also fearful of men, but she is gaining more
confidence now. She was
named “Twiggy” because she was so skinny when she was rescued,
but she has now started to gain some weight.
Life is good for Twiggy in
Powell
River!
